Euthymia represents a new chapter in my music and the culmination of years spent exploring what the handpan can become.

Every track begins with the handpan at its core, but expands into a different musical world through electronic production, percussion, texture, and sound design. My goal was to create an album where the instrument remains unmistakably present while pushing beyond what people might expect handpan music to sound like.

From the playing and composition to the recording, production, mixing, and mastering, Euthymia is my most complete expression of the music I’ve been working toward.

Dan Mulqueen is an American handpan artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer known for pushing the boundaries of what the handpan can sound like.

Blending melodic and highly percussive handpan playing with electronic production, Dan has developed a sound that places the handpan at the center while moving far beyond traditional expectations of the instrument.

Performing internationally for more than a decade, Dan has toured throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He has shared the stage with Shpongle at two sold-out performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and collaborated with artists including Mereba, Nasaya, Long Arm, and Zebbler Encanti Experience.

His latest album, Euthymia, represents the culmination of that musical exploration—bringing together years of performance, composition, and production into his most fully realized work to date.
